I began making paper cut collages almost by accident. Backpacking through Asia in 2004 I began combining tourist brochures and other bits of visual and tactile ephemera I picked up in her travels. A small pair of scissors and a glue stick became as necessary to me in my journey as my passport. Making these small collages turned out to be my way of processing and documenting my passage.
